Who Am I? Devotional Series Day 3: Always in the Love of Christ

“When did you stop loving me?”

As women how many times have we asked this question to a husband who divorced us, a boyfriend who left us, a parent who abandoned us, or even to God when we felt that He just stopped loving us one day when things in life felt so down and out?

Being loved is a need that all humans have. Even the coldest, toughest, person needs love!  But there is something about saying those words “I need to be loved” that can make us feel scarily vulnerable. The world we live in today would have us believe that saying those words, or even acknowledging their truth, somehow makes us weak. But as Christians, we are not of this world! We are daughters of the King of Glory! He not only knows we need love, He IS love and He created us to need love…He created us to need HIM! And there is NOTHING in this world that would ever keep Him and His love away from us.

Romans 8:38-39 (NLT)

And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Have there been times in your life when you felt unlovable? Perhaps someone told you that you were not worthy of love. Perhaps you did something that was so awful you felt like no one, especially God, could or should love you. LIES!!!! I want to encourage you today! I want to let you know that God loves you sooooooooooo much!!! I mean He loves you in a way that words truly cannot fully express.

God loves you so much that He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to die for every single one of your sins and placed you back into right standing with Him just so you can spend eternity with Him (John 3:16)!!

God loves you so much that He thinks about you all the time! He knows every detail about you. Who else can honestly say that about you?

Psalm 139:17 (NLT)

How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered!

Take some time to read Psalm 139 and look at how vested God is in the very details of your life! It's amazing!

The next time you aren’t feeling loved, look up, lift your hands and say “Oh thank You Lord for loving me so perfectly! Your love is greater than any other"!

God bless you. Stay encouraged.
